PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The objective of the project is to develop a Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education (SAPEE) based on research aimed at systematising knowledge about the environmental education system in Poland, as well as to support the Minister of Climate and Environment in the process of adopting the SAPEE, in accordance with the provisions of the National Environmental Policy 2030: A Development Strategy for the Environment and Water Management (NEP2030).

The SAPEE will provide an implementation framework for environmental education activities covering all thematic areas included in NEP2030. In addition, it will define strategic and operational objectives, as well as courses of action to be implemented in order to strengthen environmental education nationwide.

PROJECT SCOPE

  • Formulation of assumptions and conclusions regarding the conditions for environmental education in Poland, serving as a basis for defining the objectives and courses of action to be incorporated into the SAPEE
  • Definition of objectives for environmental education, together with courses of action and implementation modalities within the SAPEE framework
  • Development of a draft SAPEE, following consultation of the document outline with the Task Force for the Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education and agreement with the Ministry of Climate and Environment (MoCE)
  • Support for the MoCE in the process of adopting the SAPEE
