ClimateREPOWER Project – Climate Resilience and Emergency Preparedness for POWER Sector

The energy sector plays a key role in the functioning of the economy and society, while at the same time becoming increasingly exposed to the impacts of climate change. The growing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, such as heatwaves, droughts, floods and severe storms, affect the security of energy supply, the operation of energy infrastructure and the pace of the energy transition. In addition, the sector must address technological, economic, social and regulatory risks that may limit its capacity to respond effectively to future challenges.
